Due to continued growth, specialist manufacturers and distributors of petroleum related products, Oil Service, looked to our designflooring to for an eye-catching floor that could withstand the rigors of a thriving office space, customer visits, and a busy warehouse.

We spoke with Kelly Smith, executive assistant with Oil Service and acting project manager for the office expansion, who told us how the company needed a flooring that could cover a large area that served a variety of different functions, including an entire office area, bathrooms, kitchen, hallways, locker room, storage and production rooms.
As many of their clients and employees come into the office after working in the field, a durable and easy to clean floor was an absolute must. “Our general contractor wanted us to use carpet squares – they told us that it would be easy to replace a carpet square if it got dirty,” she said. “We felt like there had to be a better option.”
“We came across Karndean through a personal referral and we were really excited to see all of the number of different options available,” explained Kelly. “We were sold on the product as soon as we saw it.”
The company chose hardwood visuals for their conference rooms and executive offices, while stone looks were used to define the hallways, bathrooms, and storage areas. Hallways, office areas, and the kitchen feature our Lapis stone look design from the Opus collection (as seen above).
The bathrooms showcase a neutral palette in which Spirito Limestone (pictured above right) beautifully complements the wall tiles, and vice versa. In the locker room area connected to the warehouse, Nero was a perfect fit with its contemporary appearance and durable 20mil wear layer.
With 10,000 square feet of Karndean, the new Oil Service facility now has a stylish, practical floor to showcase as they prepare for business in their new facility.
