We recommended our stunning Art Select Blond Oak parquet flooring for its warmth and texture coupled with its durability. It also boasts attractive visuals, with unique grains, knots and the realistic embosses, creating a beautiful and realistic floor that is also practical; the perfect backdrop to cope with the hustle and bustle of school life.

After considering all the possible laying patterns you can achieve with our parquet planks, Invicta Grammar School opted for the traditional herringbone design, complemented by a brick lay border and a tramline to perfectly frame the space.

We caught up with Mary Harris, ICT Manager, Invicta Grammar School, who told us: “As you can imagine, the library is the heart of the school, where we encourage learning in a variety of ways. It is therefore vital that this space feels welcoming and warm and our Karndean floor has helped us to achieve this”.

She said: “We recognised the benefits of Karndean and as a team we chose luxury vinyl over natural products for its ease of maintenance. The authentic look of the floor has left many of our students fascinated by the fact it is not real wood!”.
