Most bespoke, high-end home designs are accompanied by a hefty price tag. But Cube Haus, a new property start-up, is seeking to offer an alternative for self builders.
The project, dreamed up by a pair of London entrepreneurs, has commissioned renowned architects to design a range of prefab homes to fit small or awkward-sized urban sites.
Founders Paul Tully and Philip Bueno del Mesquita have enlisted award-winning architectural practices including Adjaye Associates, Carl Turner Architects and Skene Catling de la Peña (winner of the RIBA 2015 House of the Year award for the Flint House).
With four designs to choose from, the houses will be available as an ‘off-the-peg’ solution for self builders, or alternatively commissioned and constructed by Cube Haus on sites acquired by the company.
